Experience prior to JLU:   more than 30 years of experience teaching in child care centers, most recently acted as the Program Director at her previous center

Personal life: marrried, enjoys spending time with her family

Miss Elizabeth Smith

Joined JLU: November 2016
Degree: High school diploma; currently pursuing a Child Development Associate's degree
Experience prior to JLU: over two years of experience working with developmentally disabled adults at ARC of Orleans County; over a year of management experience at Five Guys restaurant
Personal life: enjoys music, singing, fishing, hiking and the outdoors

Infant A, PT Teacher

Mrs. Cheryle Johnson

Joined JLU: November 2015

Degree: HS diploma; Dental Assistant Certificate

Experience prior to JLU: dental assistant for 12 years; provided childcare in home prior to dental career

Personal life: married, mother of four, grandmother of four, enjoys being outside walking her dog, camping, fishing, floral arranging and cake decorating

Infant B, FT Teacher

Miss Tara Baleno 

Joined JLU: October 2014

Degree: Child Development Associate in infant and toddler care

Experience prior to JLU: worked with children at St. Paul Lutheran School in Hilton

Personal life: mother of three children, enjoys boating, camping, being outdoors and spending time with her family

Infant B, FT Teacher

Miss Tia Mason

Joined JLU: August 2014

Degree: Associate's degree in liberal arts from MCC; currently pursuing a Child Development Associate's degree

Experience prior to JLU: worked as the Crisis Nursery of Greater Rochester, teacher's aide at New Life Fellowship for four years

Personal life: has a daughter whom she loves spending time with, enjoys playing volleyball and reading

Infant B, PT Teacher

Mrs. Kelly Lamb

Joined JLU: August 2017

Degree: High school diploma

Experience prior to JLU: two years of childcare experience including at a center and in her home

Personal life: married mother of five children; enjoys camping and gardening
