Our program provides a nurturing, developmentally-appropriate learning environment that recognizes individual strengths and interests. JLU will inspire your child to explore, create, and play while teaching Christian character and values.
We will provide a variety of experiences that include daily opportunities to participate in small and large group activities, art projects, singing and dancing, stories, outside play, and activity centers which encourage math, science, language, social skills, and muscle development.
Wondering what a day at JLU Child Care would be like?
Each classroom has a general daily schedule that is followed throughout the day. We believe in the importance of structured activities mixed with directed play throughout the day. Our students thrive on the classroom routines that are in place at JLU.
Although there may be slight variation from day to day, in general this what can be expected during a typical day of care in each classroom.

Is there a curriculum?
Yes! Our director, Nancy Getbehead, has written all of the curriculum for the JLU Child Care program. With her vast experience in the classroom in Christian schools, she has successfully woven together important developmental goals, academic goals and faith fundamentals into a fun and engaging curriculum. Classroom teachers write their own lesson plans each week based on a theme and the curriculum components.
