"My husband and I are very pleased with the care our son has received at JLU and the growth he has made because of it, and feel blessed to have a place like JLU in our community." - JLU toddler parent
JLU's toddler team ensures that your child's first steps are always in the right direction. Our toddlers enjoy a day filled with music, art and all sorts of learning firsts. This program encourages high achievement while still providing the nurturing a toddler needs.
Toddlers are given a variety of opportunities for discovery and creativity. Teachers provide positive encouragement and guide children to develop self-help skills and independence. Children will also learn how to form friendships through teacher guided group activities.
Toddlers are expected to follow the daily classroom schedule and sleep on individual mats during naptime. Teachers will work with the parents to assist children with potty-training and teach children personal hygiene skills.
Parents are responsible for providing the following items for toddlers in care:
§ Diapers and/or cloth training pants if potty training
§ Diaper cream (if needed)
§ Pacifiers (if needed)
§ 2 extra sets of clothing
§ Crib sheet and blanket for rest mat
Each toddler classroom has a maximum of 10 children in the room, with a teacher to student ratio of 1:5.
