Mrs. Dawn Brugger,

Center Director

Joined JLU: July 2011

Degree: Bachelor’s in Health Science from the College at Brockport and certification in Early Childhood Education.
Experience prior to JLU: Teacher in the after school program at Brockport Free Methodist Church, teacher in an Integrated Preschool 3’s Program. 
Personal life: married to her best friend, mom to 4 fur babies; enjoys coffee, graphic design, and renovating her home

Mrs. Dawn Brugger has more than 10 years of combined experience as a classroom teacher with our infants and toddlers and as a Pyramid Model Coach and Administrator at JLU.  She is now excited to use her gifts and talents in the role of Center Director. Mrs. Brugger has a passion for empowering teachers and parents by giving them the resources to help with their children’s physical, cognitive, language and social-emotional development and enjoys living out her passion every day while leading JLU Child Care.                                               

Mrs. Kathrine Groff              Pyramid Model Coach & Admin

Joined JLU: September 2018

Degree: BA in Educational Studies from West Virginia Wesleyan College
Experience prior to JLU: one year of childcare experience as an infant and toddler teacher; two years of college observations in elementary schools; two years teaching preschool physical education; over eight years of experience teaching VBS and Sunday school 
Personal life: married, loves spending time with her family, watching movies and traveling with her husband

Mrs. Sharon Bligh, Admin

Joined JLU: September 2010

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education, Master’s degree in Special Education from Roberts Wesleyan College

Experience prior to JLU: Student teaching, teacher at an in-home childcare center

Personal life: Married, mother of two, enjoys gardening, hiking waterfalls, crafts and making memories with her kids; member of Northridge Church where she is actively involved in Kids Ministry

Mrs. Darleen Nau, Admin

Joined JLU: April 2011

Degree: Child Development Associate in infant and toddler care

Experience prior to JLU:   more than 30 years of experience teaching in child care centers, most recently acted as the Program Director at her previous center

Personal life: marrried, enjoys spending time with her family

Mrs. Greta Adams-Murray, Admin

Joined JLU: January 2021

Degree: Associate’s degree in Accounting

Experience prior to JLU: over 20 years of customer service and managerial experience

Personal life: married, mother of four and grandmother of 2, enjoys leading the Victorious Living Church Children’s Choir
