"I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your throughtfulness. Not only does everyone at JLU care so deeply for my daughter, but you also care so much about her family." - JLU infant parent
JLU babies receive nurturing and care that resembles life at home. The development of each child is fostered and measured to make sure each one is reaching their God given potential.
We recognize the importance of individualized attention in the infant classrooms and practice primary care, meaning your child will be primarily cared for by one assigned teacher. Teachers will provide encouragement to children as they achieve milestones in this classroom including: smiling, lifting head, grasping with hands, babbling, rolling over, sitting up, crawling, waving, standing, singing, climbing, and walking.
Our infants maintain individual schedules based on consultation with parents. Infants generally sleep in a crib however older children may begin transitioning to a mat for nap time with written permission from the parent.
Parents are responsible for providing the following items for infants in care:
§ Diaper cream (optional)
§ Formula (either prepared or powder) or breast milk
§ Bottles that are labeled with first and last name of child
§ Baby food (must be pre-packaged and sold as baby food)
§ Pacifiers (if needed)
§ 2 extra sets of clothing
§ Crib sheet(s)
§ Shoes (for children that are able to pull themselves up to a standing position)
Each infant classroom has a maximum of 8 children in the room, with a teacher to student ratio of 1:4.
Care is offiered each day for school age students in the 20-21 school year while hybrid learning is offered in the Spencerport CSD.
