If you reside within the Brockport Central School District and have a child who will turn 4 years old no later than 12/1/24, then you qualify for the 2024 - 25 UPK program at JLU in Brockport!
UPK runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday – Friday. This program is FREE to your family if your spot is confirmed! These spots are limited – so the sooner the better to secure a spot.
To complete the registration process – please following these steps:
- Download and complete the UPK application
- Complete the attached UPK Preference Form indicating your enrollment at JLU Child Care.
- Contact the Brockport CSD Registrar, Dawn Gruka, at 585-637-1857 to make arrangements to complete the registration process.
As a member of the JLU UPK program, your child also has the option to attend before care starting as early as 6:00 a.m. and/or after care until 6:00 p.m. for an additional cost.

Joined JLU: September 2010
Degree: Master's in Education, Bachelor's in Elementary Education
Experience prior to JLU: 11 years of classroom experience teaching in preschool, first and second grades
Personal life: mother of two, enjoys knitting, reading and sewing bibs for JLU infants, member of St. Paul Lutheran Church

Mrs. Dale Spencer
Joined JLU: January 2018
Degree: MA Theology & Transformational Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan Northeastern Seminary; AS in Business Administration; AS in Early Childhood & Adolescent Education
Experience prior to JLU: two years of experience as Director of Children’s Ministry at Ogden Baptist Church including teaching Sunday school, children’s Bible Study, Kid’s Cooking Camp & VBS
Personal life: married, enjoys spending time reading, camping, cooking, analyzing television shows and movies, and spending time with her two tabby cats and husky-shepherd puppy
UPK at JLU Brockport
The mission of JLU Child Care is to provide quality, Christian education to infants, toddlers, preschool, pre-k and school age children. JLU is a full-day program, open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and is licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
