Cleaning Staff, Part-time Afternoon

Job Summary:

The person holding this position will be responsible for providing support both in and out of the classrooms as needed.  This person will work in cooperation with the director and staff to provide a clean and welcoming environment for the children and families at JLU Child Care.

Start Date: Immediately

Hours:  Primarily 3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

Description of Responsibilities:

«Set a Christian example for all children, their families and center staff

«Maintain a clean, ordered classroom that is inviting to children.

«Closing classrooms and designated areas of JLU after children have gone home as instructed on JLU cleaning checklists and procedures.

«Maintain a level of professionalism, respect and compassion for all employees, parents and children.

«Knowledge and compliance of all state OCFS regulations governing the operation of the center.

«Maintain required center documentation as required.

«Follow all center policies as outlined in the JLU Child Care Staff Handbook.

«Attend required staff meetings and training programs.

«Maintain confidentiality at all times.

«Communicate regularly and professionally with JLU families and all JLU Child Care staff.

«Must be able to stay standing for entirety of your job responsibilities and the duration of your scheduled shift.

«Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly.

Job Requirements and/or Qualifications:

 ·   High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)

 ·   Substantial experience cleaning professionally

• Desire to be a part of a Christian ministry
