Miss Sondra Moser, Director

Joined JLU: August 2021; previously employed from October 2012 - July 2018

Degree: BA in Cross Disciplinary Studies from Roberts Wesleyan College with concentrations in education and math 

Experience prior to JLU: Assistant Manager of the Crisis Nursery for three years; substitute teacher in public school setting 
Personal life: traveling with friends, attends Pearce Church

After spending three years away, Miss Sondra Moser is happy to be back as a member of the JLU family.  After leaving JLU in 2018, she used her leadership skills at the Crisis Nursery in Rochester.  Although she loved her time there, she found it frustrating not to share God’s love to the children in her care.  Miss Moser is thrilled to return to our program where she is able to lead a ministry and not simply a business.   Her extended time as a teacher in the classroom, professional management experience and her enthusiasm for Christ give her a unique ability to serve the JLU children, families and staff each day. 

Mrs. Katherine Groff              Pyramid Model Coach & Admin

Joined JLU: September 2018

Degree: BA in Educational Studies from West Virginia Wesleyan College
Experience prior to JLU: one year of childcare experience as an infant and toddler teacher; two years of college observations in elementary schools; two years teaching preschool physical education; over eight years of experience teaching VBS and Sunday school 
Personal life: married mother of one, loves spending time with her family, watching movies and traveling 

Mrs. Greta Adams-Murray

Joined JLU: January 2021

Degree: Associate’s degree in Accounting

Experience prior to JLU: over 20 years of customer service and managerial experience

Personal life: married, mother of four and grandmother of 2, enjoys leading the Victorious Living Church Children’s Choir 

Mrs. Katie DeChane

Joined JLU: January 2023

Degree: BS in Sociology & Sociomedical Sciences 

Experience prior to JLU: two years of customer service experience at SUNY Geneseo Student Life; Counselor at a summer camp for three years; five years of restaurant experience

Personal life: married with two daughters, enjoys remodeling and fixing up her home

Miss Nora Coon

Joined JLU: December 2025

Degree: BS in Psychology from SUNY Brockport; AS in Inclusive Childhood Education from Monroe Community College

Experience prior to JLU: four years of management experience at Planet Fitness; student teaching in the Hilton CSD

Personal life: enjoys reading, working out and traveling

Mrs. Dawn Brugger, Director

Joined JLU: July 2011

Degree: Currently pursuing a Master's of Education in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) and Special Education (All Grades) at Roberts Wesleyan University. Has a BS in Health Science from SUNY Brockport

Experience prior to JLU: Classroom teacher in an Integrated Preschool Program, youth leader in high school youth ministry

Personal life: Married to her best friend, mom to 5 furballs, enjoys coffee, camping, gardening, and renovating her home

With more than 15 years of experience nurturing infants and toddlers and mentoring educators as a Pyramid Model Coach and Administrator, Mrs. Dawn Brugger brings both expertise and enthusiasm to everything she does at JLU. She loves equipping teachers and parents with practical tools and resources that help children thrive physically, cognitively, and socially and emotionally. Mrs. Brugger has the joy of turning that passion into action as she leads the JLU Child Care program and ministry in Brockport, helping create a place where children, families, and teachers can make meaningful connections and grow together.​                                          

Miss Amy Trichanh

Joined JLU: September 2016

Degree: credits in Early Care at Monroe Community College; CDA coursework completed

Experience prior to JLU: one year of experience as a cafeteria aide at Neil Armstrong elementary school; childcare internship as an infant teacher at MCC; Sunday school teacher, VBS and drama director at home church for four years

Personal life: attends Messiah Lutheran Church, enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, baking and Netflix

Degree: Child Development Associate’s degree in Infant and Toddler Care

Experience prior to JLU: nine years of caregiving and management experience at Lifetime Assistance; seventeen years of food service and management experience at McDonald’s
Personal life: married mother of one and grandmother of one; enjoys hiking, arts and crafts, sun and time with family
